 Work Background:

2004-present     Research Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno.  Work in numerical simulations and experiment design and construction for the characterization of heat transfer in spent nuclear fuel assemblies.

2003-present     Co-founder and consultant for ZIRCON LTDA.  Company focused on the design of industrial equipment.  Established company mission and client base.  Conducted a project that delivered a 3D as-built model of the CMPC Santa Fe cellulose plant; field scanning of the plant with a 3D laser scanner and modeling in AutoCAD and MicroStation.  The model was later incorporated into PDS to be used as interference check for plant modifications.  Also worked on a project to design and build a mechanical arm that was used for injection of refractory mix into high temperature ovens for RHI Chile S.A.

2006-2007         Student worker at the Intensive English Language Center (IELC) of the University of Nevada, Reno.  Performed office duties and supervised recreational activities for international students in the English Language program.  Also, in charge of maintaining the IELC web site.

2003                 Project Engineer at JHG Ingeniería Ltda., Worked on projects mainly in mining and energy sectors.  Main projects include measurement and analysis of cooling circuit temperatures for the Colbun power plant, mass balance of the residual water in the water treatment plant of the Alto Norte Foundry, Antofagasta, Chile, and environmental impact analysis for the smelting of recycled electronics at the Alto Norte Foundry, Antofagasta, Chile

2001-2003         Mechanical Engineer at Geodatos Ltda. Worked on projects with the Cyrax 2500 Laser scanner for 3D capture of industrial plants and generation of as-built models.  Projects included as-built models of the DSM Iodine plant, Yumbes Nitrate and lixiviation piles plant   Also worked on company client database.

2001                 Internship at LAN Airport Services in maintenance of ground equipment Coordination of vehicle fleet maintenance at he Santiago airport.
