Short Biography

Hartanto Wibowo was born in Surabaya, Indonesia. He did his undergraduate study in civil engineering at Petra Christian University, Indonesia. He then continued to pursue his Master's degree at Carleton University, Canada and obtained his Ph.D. from University of Nevada, Reno. His research interests include seismic performance of bridges and buildings; linear and nonlinear analytical techniques for structures subject to dynamic loads; earthquake protective systems for structures; performance-based earthquake engineering; and experimental large-scale structures testing. In addition, he is a member of several professional organizations and currently serves as Past-President of Earthquake Engineering Research Institute - University of Nevada, Reno Student Chapter and Past-President of Gallop Badminton Club at University of Nevada, Reno. He is also one of the founding members of Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity colony at University of Nevada, Reno.
