Evaluation of Lecturing Performance

n      excellent - I generally have a hard time with Tuesday/Thursday classes, because it is ?????? -- but with this class I had no trouble.. I always was interested in learning the subject for the day

n      Good lectures - sometimes, though, I wasn't sure what his point was. Prof was very enthusiastic about the material

n      Good. His lectures were very appealing

n      lots of visuals, slides on computer, writing on dry erase board with color, movies, were all very helpful

n      he was sometimes late for class, however, he prepared for lecture well

Evaluation of Reading Materials

n      book was good, articles didn't seem as relevant as just the books

n      The book and assigned readings coincided perfectly -- the book was perfectly structured to be understandable, the readings helped to picture the concpets + generalize them to real life situations

n      It was proper and effective

n      Difficult. Too many materials to read.

n      The book was good.

Level of Teaching Sophistication

n      high (3 times)

n      Superior; loved enthusiasm that the teacher brought to subject, most my other classes consist of a monotone person that makes me lose interest almost instantly. Combination of pwerpoint, explanation on borad, or class exercises helps in bringing variation to learning.

n      Very smart, but sometimes seemed disorganized and scatterbrained

Rapport with Students

n      Excellent - open to suggestions, works with them. Demonstrates genuine interest in students.

n      good

n      great

n      good, but we were very unimpressed with his not being punctual

Overall Evaluation of Instructor

n      His class was fun, but it was very difficult

n      good instructor, but sometimes it was hard to understand what he wanted us to know

n      he was helpful and nice

n      Very superior - I am a notorious for being absent in my classes but with this calss, I always wanted to come and learn

n      he was very dynamic and enthusiastic

Overall Evaluation of Class

n      I learned a lot about groups. It is amazing to see an average crowd as something different now, I see a lot more than a bunch of peple. Very interesting.

n      It was fun, but difficult

n      I really enjoyed this class + the instructor, but wish lectures + info had been more structured

n      Very superior

n      It is a useful class for introduction to social psychology
