Text: An introduction to Analysis. 4th edition by William Wade

Office hours: M-F 8:15 - 9:30 am. If they are not convenient for you, feel free to make an appointment.

Prerequisites: Math 310 and Math 330 (may be taken concurrently) or consent of the instructor. An acquaintance with mathematical proofs such as that provided by Math 373 is strongly recommended.

Class policy: Attendance is warmly encouraged but not mandatory; however you are responsible for everything done in class. Class participation is more than strongly encouraged! Please ask questions.

Grading Procedures: A=88%, B=75%, C=65%, D=55%. The instructor reserves the right to assign +/- grades in borderline cases.

Midterms (20% each) - to be announced; there will be no make-ups. You can check the schedule of the semester to see the dates of the midterms.

Quizzes (10%) - to be announced; the best 5 will count.

Homework (20%) - to be collected weekly, on Friday. Late homework will not be accepted, but I will drop the lowest one.

Final exam (30%) - Friday 05/11, 10:15-12:15

The tests and the quizzes will be similar to the homework problems
