I am currently looking for graduate students to join my lab. We have a Masters program in the Biology Department and a PhD program in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology (EECB) Program. Interested students should contact me directly at email@example.com or 775 784 1271.
I am interested in students who are excited about behavioral ecology and who are willing to work hard both in the field and in laboratory. Attitude and commitment to research are the key criteria which in my view are more important than GRE scores for success in academia. Experience working with birds in the field and/or in lab is always a plus.
It is best if a student already has some ideas about his/her potential graduate research but I am always willing to offer suggestions. My research interests are very broad and they are not limited to cognition. Please see my publications to get a sense of the scope of my previous research.
