Stirring rods are long rods made of glass(approx.6").
These items are versatile, and not just for stirring. For instance, they can be used to scratch the inside of a flask to induce crystallization, or to aid in the decanting of liquids. They are brittle, so make sure the ends of your stirring rod are polished and smooth before you use it.
