Sometimes called a "stillhead" or a "Y-adapter", this piece of glassware is used in a distillation set-up. The top joint of the distillation head is tooled to accomodate a rubber thermometer adapter which holds the thermometer in place. The bottom joint is fitted with a round bottom flask or a distillation column, and the side arm connects to West condenser.
