About Me

I recently defended my Ph.D. dissertation “Effects of fire on desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) thermal ecology” in the interdisciplinary Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology program at the University of Nevada, Reno, studying under Dr. C. Richard Tracy.

I am currently the instructor of herpetology at the University of Nevada, Reno and a National Academies education fellow. I strive to create an engaging and active learning environment for undergraduates to foster learning, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
