Education: A.B. Princeton University, 1970; Ph.D., University of
California,
Berkeley, 1975.
I have been on the faculty at UNR since 1975, full professor since
1983.
My research is in the field of Operator Algebras, a branch of
Functional
Analysis which is also closely connected with Topology. I am the author
of two books and about 30 research papers. I was named UNR's Outstanding
Researcher in 1986, and Foundation Professor in 1997.
I have held visiting professorships in Germany, France, Denmark,
Australia,
and Canada.
A corrected manuscript of my K-Theory book is HERE.
Errata to my Operator Algebras book is HERE. A corrected manuscript is HERE.
Here is the PDF file for a book manuscript on Real Analysis.
Despite its length, it is highly incomplete, and will ultimately be at least twice
the current length. I am still at the stage where I am writing sections
randomly as the spirit moves me. The book is also not yet organized at all the way I envision it will be.
Comments are invited, and please check back for updates.
